hello. the computer's being a bitch. but seeing that i have to charge my ipod, i shall be patient.

work today was:

1. so terribly boring in the first 1 hr or so, there were so little travellers, i made calvin the greedy boy kup so many of those free airport fox sweets just to keep me awake hahaha.
2. so full of incidents when it got later into the night; lost pens, all the credit refunds, long queues and unreasonable ppl who blatantly ignore the huge and bright red 'COUNTER CLOSED' sign that i put up that pissed me off and stressed me up big time.

am really tempted to accept the other part time at fishnco. too hmm.

oh, and i was so looking forward to the midweek matches. turned on the tv at 3 plus in the morning, only to find out that channel 27 cannot air them because of some contractual agreements, what rubbish ): and so i missed what the papers said to be one of man utd's best performances of the season after their win against pompey. with ronaldo adding another 2 to his tally at that.

it took a huge amt of determination and discipline, but i managed to drag myself out of bed at 8am this morning to go for a jog at the reservoir. it felt damn good, because there was still so much time in the morning and afternoon before work to do the things i wanted to.

okay enough of my random ramblings. i hope calvin managed to help me find it (:

hi world. my laziness strikes again.

1. work's stressful, but everybody's been nice and helpful, the managers are really approachable, and so are the other ppl my age working there- the delivery boys popping in and out saying the same thing everyday, the other cashiers, and SAs at the mix-it bar too. and getting exposed to different customers has taught me alot; the occasional guailan ones, the extremely friendly angmohs who say more 'thank you's to us than we do to them, the koreans and japs who look surprised everytime i put my (terribly limited) knowledge of their language to use..

2. random meetups with ppl, though hard to organise cos my work time's very different frm everybody's, have been good too; icecream chefs yesterday was really nice

3. i miss home-cooked dinners with the rest of the family

4. man u are top of the table, level on points but ahead of arsenal due to goal difference, after their 6-0 rout over newcastle when arsenal only managed a draw last wk. ronaldo, tevez and rooney have been in such good form, as well as the rest of the squad, especially the solid defence in the form of ferdinand, vidic, evra and wes brown (:

5. JAY CHOU'S CONCERT at the s'pore indoor stadium was awesome, seeing him perform live. he didn't sing some of the songs i'd have preferred, but nonetheless, i'm happy i caught it. the $168 tickets were worth it, cos i think our seats are better than the most expensive ones right in front of the stage :D

6. been reading steven gerrard's autobiography too, thanks eileen for getting it for me (:

7. keeping to my resolution of taking 4.3 km jogs around bedok reservoir at least twice a week feels good

8. cny's coming (: which means the date of the release of A's results is drawing nearer too; i seriously dread getting it back, very very much ):

first post of the new year.

i'm lazy to narrate in detail, so..

1. man utd has fallen behind arsenal because they lost to west ham ): but no matter, i'm sure they'll catch up in no time. hah.
2. new yr's eve spent with two ppl i trust the most in this world; pathetic dinner at billy bomber's haha, national treasure, cakes and mudpies at changing appetites, pretty fireworks blocked by the trees, walking to ecp at 4am in the morning intending to catch the first sunrise of the new yr but ended up not seeing it the sky just brightened w/o us seeing the sun, first breakfast... i love you guys (:
3. work at the airport's stressful but fun, i'm doing what i like (ie. counting money), i get to encounter friendly angmohs and impatient s'poreans, and i get to go into the transit area as and when i like. i like working at t2's departure LT much more than t3's though. even though t3's HUGE and pretty, the ppl at t2 are much friendlier and more helpful.
4. not busy shopping for stationery, packing my bag, trying on to see if my old uniform still fits, frantically trying to finish off those last min work i always leave till the last night before schl reopens, and slping early to go to school the next day and see familiar faces for the first time in all my schling yrs makes me feel oddly weird and empty, but FREAKING SHIOK.
5. and i thought there was.. but..

new yr resolutions? i hardly ever keep to them, but oh well.

1. TRY and eat less and exercise more, ie. slim down (i can imagine xr and abby and whoever else has been complaining abt me going on a diet rolling their eyes alrdy).
2. smile more and not put on a long face (that may take some time)
3. be more patient with ppl around me (i think that'll be pretty hard too)
4. take the initiative more often
5. spend the year more meaningfully..
and i just want them and everyone else to be happy (:

oh and i'm really baffled as to why seemingly perfectly healthy ppl are leaving the world suddenly. the Motherwell captain, NS men who collapse after their runs, the korean boxer who was declared brain dead after that blow, even my family doctor- it was pretty much of a shock to my whole family. and mrs benazir bhutto who got assassinated, and most recently MC King- i'm not much of a fan, but he really contributed much to the local entertainment scene. seriously, it's scary.

till the next time then.
